I've been blogging for about six months, first on blogger, then over at wordpress, it is a great way to connect with interested readers and get their feedback on poems through the creation process.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3850369461143325020.post-16596331450456569692009-12-30T06:21:34.469-08:002009-12-30T06:21:34.469-08:00Thanks for these wonderful comments--they all add ...Thanks for these wonderful comments--they all add so much to my experience of this moment and the season!Annie Finchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09874209585098408777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3850369461143325020.post-7027299849642622632009-12-27T22:58:08.252-08:002009-12-27T22:58:08.252-08:00In our house the annual recitation is of Milne'...In our house the annual recitation is of Milne's "King John's Christmas"--a great little piece on the loneliness of a bad... boy?... man? Anyway, he's bad, or at least he has a bad _reputation_. Redemption comes, partly in the form of a humble present for King John and partly in that of the narrator's thanks to Father Christmas for showing charity to the bitter kid. When I read the poem now, I hear my father's voice over and over.

Thanks, Annie, for putting a finger on the importance of these little rituals. (Or are they big ones?)

HowardHoward Runyonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17087529712519197903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3850369461143325020.post-28105570992735852122009-12-27T04:01:44.999-08:002009-12-27T04:01:44.999-08:00Isn't always so affirming, and mysterious to r...Isn't always so affirming, and mysterious to recognize the connections that seemingly seperate culture have?
